Shinyuku Gyoen

This stunning natural park, located in Tokyo’s Shinjuku city, consists of three beautiful gardens: the Japanese Garden, the English Garden, and the French Garden. Shinjuku Gyoen originated as a feudal lord’s mansion in the Edo era (1591). In 1872 it became an agricultural station, and by 1906, an imperial garden. Post World War II, it was re-designated as a national garden and opened to the public.
