Hoshinoya

The hotel entrance is a carved wooden door leading to a tatami-style lobby. Each floor is a traditional ryokan with six rooms, suites, and a lounge serving seasonal teas. The top floor houses two gender-segregated bath houses, supplied with hot spring water from 1,500 meters underground. Each bath house has an indoor and outdoor bath. The outdoor baths are especially striking, situated at the bottom of a large, cave-like, open-roof chamber with tall walls framing the sky. From $900$/night
