Boutique coffee roaster Bench Coffee Co, known for cafes like Slater Street and 580, now has its own flagship, Bench. The simple menu includes basics, hot and iced filter, cold brew and espresso tonic. Beans are available for purchase. The prominent feature of Bench is a large glass-block bench, inspired by the French modernist building, Maison de Verre. The shiny design includes a mirrored wall, large windows, and mostly black fixtures. The only food served is dacquoise; rich buttercream between nut-meringue biscuits in five flavors.
