Bar Sant Eustachio

the Eternal City’s most iconic caffè (coffee shop). Established in 1938 – though the venue already existed in the 18th century, when it was simply called ‘Caffè e Latte’ (‘Coffee and Milk’)Sant’Eustachio has indeed long been tied to Rome’s cultural and social fabric. Sant’Eustachio in Rome quickly became a popular spot for celebrities and politicians, especially after it began roasting its own beans in 1948. Since 1999, under new management, it has imported beans directly from small cooperatives in various countries to ensure quality.
