Alte Pinakothek

The Alte Pinakothek in Munich is one of the oldest art galleries in the world, housing a significant collection of European master paintings from the Middle Ages to the end of the Rococo period. Opened in 1836, the museum features works by renowned artists such as Albrecht Dürer, Leonardo da Vinci, and Raphael. The building itself, designed by Leo von Klenze, is noted for its neoclassical architecture, making it a landmark in both the art and architectural heritage of Munich. Make sure you don’t miss Van Gogh’s sunflower painting.
